Would someone like to fulfill a Cosmic Horror Art Request?
I've been writing a story recently and wanted someone to make a quick sketch of the central antagonist I had planned. It doesn't have to be anything overly detailed, and it can be something relatively simple as well. For clarification on the antagonist, I will send a short excerpt down below in hopes someone's taken an interest in it:
The void waited for my fall as every remnant of the universe dropped into that agonizing layer beneath all of creation. Even though it had already eaten many — if not all of what once was — the void’s hunger was insatiable, and it continued to feast on whatever endured. The universe’s sudden instability created a significant change in balance, and the force that held everything together had been severely weakened. Every aspect of reality that we found comfort in teetered and fell victim to the sea of nothingness. Anything that proved to be stronger gravitated toward something that oversaw the result of its awakening. Said monstrosity allowed me to perceive my surroundings — a crimson eye with a gaze brighter and hotter than a thousand suns. Its glare penetrated into my fragile being and threatened to corrupt my soul further, ridding it of the purity I had left after bearing witness to the grim tragedy the eye had been responsible for. Was it planning to plague my mind with unwarranted thoughts? I did not wish to look at the devastation brought upon my universe any longer.
I glared at that blood-stained sky and saw the erubescent — all-seeing — eye staring back at me with complete pity. Behind it lay a young, elegant woman who adorned herself in an outfit typically worn by a shrine maiden who devoted themselves to the gods, all while wearing the face of someone who saw all beginnings and ends recursively. I began to wonder … What emotions did she carry behind that phlegmatic expression? What did that woman truly feel? Or had I been wrong in my assumption and she did not truly sympathize for those who weren’t of her concern?
That woman spoke somberly and looked down on humanity, which she called an abundance of creatures who held no right to live in the world — the smallest stroke of a brush in a portrait larger than anything we could ever imagine. And though her voice came in many, in none of them did I sense the malice many others spoke of. She had simply stated the obvious, and that statement had been enough to crush our overwhelming ego. I translated her solemnity into something akin to a double-ended sword — a truth that not only wounded humanity, but herself as well.
