Are we being a little too hard on Stricklin?

Football

Hear me out.

The feeling on this board changed dramatically in the 72 hours between when we announced we had pivoted away from Kiffin and Sumrall's presser.

Many people here were advocating for a boycott of the program, refusing to even give the new regime a chance. That sentiment seems to have vanished.

As for Kiffin, it's becoming clear that Stricklin just wasn't prepared to hand over the keys to this attention-seeking selfish drama queen. Meanwhile, the so-called "fiscally conservative" governor of Louisiana couldn't wait to bend over and let Kiffin have anything he wanted, including NIL money which he has absolutely no ability or authority to guarantee.

We're in the woods as a program right now, no doubt. But were we really prepared to get down on our knees and beg this above average coach to grace us with his sideline presence for three or four years before he jumps back to the NFL?

LSU was. Good for them.

In hindsight, I am glad Stricklin wasn't.
