PCV valve and cooler line replacement on a 2016 Chevy Malibu

Hi everyone!! I’m posting on here because I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu LS that I took to the dealership 2ish weeks ago for a check engine light. I was told that the PCV is clogged and that the inlet trans cooler line is leaking and was quoted close to $4000 for replacement. I tried calling a few mechanics around my area and they’re all saying close to the same amount. I had one mechanic say “that’s ridiculous” and after talking to the dealership, he told me that the engine has a lot of parts that need to be replaced after opening it up (or something like that). He’s so far been the lowest quote at about $2000. Is this a normal thing/amount for these kinds of repairs? I’m afraid of getting ripped off cause I’m a woman and my family keeps telling me that they are taking advantage of me and I need to look around more. I paid like $7000 for this car and it all just seems like so much to me.

I’m also slightly confused that there’s a leak when I haven’t seen any sort of leak or staining on my driveway.

anything is appreciated and thank you for reading!! 🙂‍↕️
