Haven't had my dose today, not feeling well, want to take kratom but scared

So, I have been on methadone for 10 years. I used to be on a super high dose of 250mg, but dropped down to 120mg and feel better for it. When I work at my one job (I'm in healthcare for one of my jobs) I only take 40mg because I feel when I take all 120mg it makes me less alert for my patients. Idk if it's in my head or the stigma from others but I do this. So as a result I will take the rest of my dose at night. Well, I fucked up bad and double dosed! Without realizing it. So now today I have nothing. It's been over 24 hours and I'm not super sick or anything but definitely feel the difference. Anyway, I used to take kratom before I was on methadone. So, I thought, maybe, if I take some kratom it will mitigate some of the negative side effects of not having the methadone. I go to the clinic tomorrow morning (I get 30 day takehomes). I bought the kratom, some liquid and pills...but I'm honestly scared because I haven't taken anything but methadone in sooo long. Anyone taken kratom to help ease withdrawal symptoms? Should I just wait it hour a few more hours and go to the clinic super early? Idk what to do but I do know I'm very physically uncomfortable. And the last dose I took was only 40 mg not my standard 120mg. Yes I know I shouldn't be messing with my doses but I genuinely don't want to be at work taking care of patients on my full dose.
