Night feeds help
Baby boy (almost 5.5 months) now falls asleep independently in his crib after a smooth Snoo-to-crib transition. We originally used CIO at bedtime in the Snoo about a month ago. There were a few rough nights afterward, but since moving to the crib he settles quickly, usually rolling to his back and falling asleep within 1–2 minutes.
DWT is 6:45–7:15 AM. Current WWs are 2 / 2.25–2.5 / 2.5 / 2.75, gradually stretching toward 2 / 2.5 / 2.5 / 3. Bedtime is 7:30–8 PM.
He wakes at 1 AM for a full feed, may need a pacifier around 3 AM, and briefly nurses around 5 AM.
We want to use CIO for night wakings, but I’m unsure because he still takes one full night feed. How can we wean night feeds and increase daytime intake so I don’t feel like I’m cutting needed calories at night?
(Also, what do we do about baby’s cold hands ? He sleeps in a footed pjs under 1 TOG sleep sack)
