Just started on service rig

I’ve worked on pumpjacks and ran hydraulic casing jacks for service rigs for a for a few years, worked construction jobs and steel work. But am green as grass to actually putting my hands on a rig. I know the work is long hours tough job and dirty as fuck. I’m prepared for that and definitely not shy to bust my ass and take my licks. I have my head screwed on straight and willing to learn as much as I can to succeed and be valuable to the crew. But I will admit I’m kinda nervous to head out for the first time. Just due to the stigmatism around the service rig industry. I think I will do alright if the boys are willing to show me the ropes. Any advice for a greenhand? And is it really as bad as people make it out to be?
