The patch...need advice

Oir 5.5 year old son was diagnosed a few months ago with ADHD. He is in play therapy and speech therapy and previously in OT. Despire our best efforts on getting him supports in and out of school, he is still struggling in kindergarten with work completion and hitting peers/throwing things in the classroom. These incidents occur every day, several times a day. Our pediatrician has recommended that we start medication and that we start with the patch to see how our son reacts. Just curious how it worked out for others using this method? Any advice for using this form of medication?

I'm nervous it will make things worse for him. I appreciate your experiences.
