How well would an Azrael/Apothecary/Inner Circle Companion work?

New to 40k, planning out my army. I realized that I can attach a Lieutenant or Apothecary to an epic hero and then that I can apply detachment enhancements to them as well.

This is something I likely wouldn't use unless I'm in a game of 1500 pts or higher given the cost but the benefits to counter the cost seems to be:

1. Ability to potentially bring back an ICC if they get knocked out

2. Doubling up on enhancements to make either the unit tankier or hit harder, depending on the detachment enhancement

3. And increasing the size of the unit just enough to keep it more maneuverable than a 7 model plus unit

Cost for this would be 255 to nearly 400, varying upon detachment rules and if I want to run ICC in 3 or 6 depending on the battle field.

Thoughts? Is this too expensive to be good or is it solid under higher point total armies?
