My condo association throws a fit whenever I take my own package

Location: Missouri, USA

My condo association claims my packages become their property when they check them in from the delivery service and log it into their system. If I grab a package without them logging it out they get very upset. However, it’s my package with my name and address. Is there anyway that they could assume legal ownership of someone else’s package?
