Gratitude for Strangers - Chase Bank - North Lamar

My car died at the commercial drive up window this afternoon. No matter what I did, I couldn't get/keep it running, nor unlock the shifter to put it in neutral (it's a pretty lightweight car, I could've pushed it).

A very kind gentleman (bank employee?) assured me that it was alright, these things happen. (I HATE being that person who inconveniences others!) He brought over a mechanic from where they park behind the bank / back of the property.

My Spanish is terrible, and I didn't get his name, but I owe this mechanic some major gratitude. Not only did he get my battery fully charged, he also completely resolved an issue I had been battling for weeks (he couldn't have known that).

I had an appointment at a shop recommended by a trusted friend, and was supposed to go there after the bank. It drove perfectly all the way! They did "All The Tests", including 2 load tests (1 extended), and everything checked out perfectly.

What I was dreading would be $$$$ in repairs, or maybe even loss of the vehicle I cannot afford to replace, was $0 thanks to this man's kindness and incredibly-fast diagnosis/repair! Thank you thank you thank you, kind stranger!

Thanks also to the Chase Bank employees who were very patient and understanding! To any customers who may have been inconvenienced, I am sooo sorry! The commercial lane is priority convenience for business customers. I'm there weekly, and today I was *that* person - I really hate being that person!

Maybe there is room for at least a little faith in humanity these days!
