Why is ChatGPT so inaccurate?

I have been using it for a while and it gave me great results. At one point i stopped using Google and only relied on ChatGPT but it’s so inaccurate lately i have to double check every result.

And i’m not talking about complex stuff, just basic questions that i’m too lazy to google. For instance i was watching the Ed Gein show on Netflix and i was curious what happened to his brother in real life. ChatGPT tells me he had no brother.

Then i wanted to know when a game more in League of Legends ends and ChatGPT tells me the mode is not live. Like bruh i’m playing it as we speak.

Even the most basic information seems to be wildly inaccurate which blows my mind. I used to ask a lot of historical facts about empires and what not but now i am very skeptical of it’s accuracy.
