Can we discuss how the AWD performs with good tires (not eAWD / t8)?

Hey everyone - New to the Volvo world coming from Subaru. I’ve been digging into YouTube and this sub to read about everyone’s real world experience with these cars in snow (with genuine winter tires, not the stock Perellis). I have a 26 xc90 and already fitted a set of OEM take-offs with Blizzak 6s and am anxiously waiting to drive it in some now.

So far, I have learned the following:

• The t8 AWD is completely different and should be disregarded for folks in a b5/b6 (or earlier generations’ equivalent).
• The stock OEM tires stink in winter
• Off-road mode makes a huge difference
• BMW’s AWD outperforms Volvo’s

Would love to hear more from Ski families, people coming from Subarus, people who have fitted their XC90 with snow tires and taken on real snow. Any help would be really appreciated.
