methylphenidate not working

does anyone else taking methylphenidate (generic) feel like it hasn’t been working lately? i take 18 mg XR. recently got my refill and i feel like i’m taking sugar pills. usually they work pretty well but i’ve been talking to myself nonstop which i usually don’t do when i take my meds. i know the generic brand of vyvanse recently had this issue
