Floating windows in VR

o7 CMDRs,

a few years ago I bought myself an Oculus Rift and explored the Universe while watching videos. Back then it seemed pretty easy with Oculus Rift Dash to have floating windows with videos in my cockpit which I could position and resize with my controllers.

Then life happened and I dropped out of Elite and VR until I got myself a Meta Quest 3 last weekend. I am running Elite Dangerous Odyssey from the Frontier launcher using Meta Link (both AirLink and USB C work fine). I don't use Steam or Steam VR.

How do I get floating windows in Elite VR in 2025? Netflix would be nice while trucking and exploring and an EDMC window even more so.

So what is the secret ingredient to get it running?
