Biggest Campaign MVPs and/or Surprises?

I'm going into the last game (game 12) of my first campaign, and it's been such a fun experience. I've had wins, losses, and draws; thankfully more wins than the other two results!

I thought it might be fun to discuss campaign experiences and fun ability mixes on elites, surprise MVPs of your warbands, or even unexpected promotions.

In my Court warband, my biggest surprise MVP since game one has been one of my Hell Knights, Insinuata. He's a sword and board hell knight and has developed a reputation for surviving everything thrown at him. Due to muscle damage on my Praetor (who definitely does not have a reputation for surviving everything thrown at her), Insinuata ended up with the Malebranche and has been slowly carving his way up the field ever since, especially since he ended up with a great mix of skills AND a Saint's Reliquary to make him tough.

Some of his highlights have included taking on a very upgraded Lord of Tumours and it's bodyguards solo and surviving, soloing a Desecrated Saint, and surviving multiple direct AMR hits in a game.

Tell me some of your stories about your surprise MVPS!
