Finished MBotF - worried about what next?
I've finished the 10 Erickson books yesterday and have been browsing the subreddit, and now am second guessing starting the Esselmont series with Night of Knives. I finished The Crippled god and thought "where will I find books this lengthy and well written ever again?" And many comments compare their works unfavorably
I understand theyre important as part of the mythos and lore background but dont want a letdown in quality (without payoff)
My favorite parts of the MBoTF were anything involving the Bonehunters or Bridge burners (Erickson is one of a handful of writers to do medieval fantasy combat well) and anything with Tiste Andii. - and for what its worse, I disliked the storyline and writing of the Faelsin(spelling) parts
In short- should I read Forge of Darkness or Night of Knives next? I am highly invested in the story and lore after those 10 books but am wondering which has more of my interests. Thanks.
