Burnt out undergrad senior
I never thought I was going to get burnt out so quick in my career. I thought it’d be later down the line after vet school and everything, but I’m in my senior year of undergrad. I have mostly elective classes and this is my last semester so, we would think that I will get all As in them but frankly, 2 might be C’s. I know it’s not because I don’t want to do veterinary medicine anymore but it’s more I literally just cannot focus. I’d tell myself to study but then when I do it, I just cannot get myself to get into that free flow. And I LOVE that free flow, it’s just way harder for me to get it started now. It didn’t help that I took 16-18 credit hours per semester for 2 years but, I had A’s and B’s in those on top of jobs, volunteer, research, and club. I mentioned that because this semester I only have the club and classes to worry about! And I am doing worse when it is an easy schedule! I’m not too hung up on it but I’m still mad at myself, like how could you slip this bad bruh. Anyways, this is a rant. I know I still want to peruse veterinary but, the grade slip now got me a little worried as I applied to vet schools this cycle.. If anyone ever felt this way, I would appreciate if you share. I know burn out is common in vet med but usually it’s in vet school and beyond😅
