year since my last period. then i see a dash of blood and nothing else??
good evening and goodnight everyone. I'm 19 years old and had my first period after a one year. exactly a year. my last period was the day after thanksgiving in 2024, after a 5 month break since my graduation from HS late may 2024. my period last year was... a lot of blood, wi\hich is normal. one week long, heavy in the first days with some brown spots a few days after the week. but then nothing. noooooooooooothing. idk if i've been getting periods with no bleeding this whole time? ik sometimes im moody or get shit done out of nowhere but i never experience cramps or anything (i dont do that for normal periods either honestly. tbf i might've forgotten since it's been so long :(
anyways, fast pass to 5 days ago after thanksgiving dinner. finally! there was a bit of blood on the toilet paper so i immediately grabbed a pad and put it on. even the next morning my mom jokingly thanked god that i finally bled after so long. then i go to the bathroom and. freaking. nothing! pad? completely dry. tissue paper? faint brown smudges as if it's been days after a normal period. showered and put on a new pad. results hours later? only got brown after letting urine pass (the piss was still yellow dw about that at least).
i... don't know what to do? no women in my family has to deal with this shit. i started my first semester in nursing school so ig im a little stressed but im fine with the B grdes i have. i admit to being over weight so i tried exercising like crazy for a time. nothing. sweet usually makes it come more. nothing (and i dont want diabetes). i have hairs under my neck and stuff but i'm not sure if i have PCOS or not. not that it matters... i was kicked off of medicade recently for earning 22K a year as a homeaide. i dont know how to check, or any professional to talk to. i dont even know how to manage it if i do have it. it's ironic im entering a field for caring the sick when i can't even help myself. i've already scared by myself by reading up about increased cancer risk for this kinda thing...
this happened to anyone already? any OTC meds i can take? or at least an explanation as to what's going on? i'm scared and dont know what to do now...
thank you :(
