New Asus G16 keyboard issue

I just bought a Asus G16 mainly to run my trading programs which it handles with easy as it's pretty powerful. I'm running into an issue with the keyboard. I don't seem to be able to keep the keyboard lit up all the time. Usually they will dim and as soon as you type they come back on. What am I missing here and can anyone tell me a way to keep it on? Right now I'm controlling it from armoury. Any insights would be much appreciated. Thanks.
