Volatile Stormdrake and Ward ability of a Creature.

Three questions:

1. Can a creature with ward ability counter [[Volatile Stormdrake]]'s ETB triggered ability?

2. Would the [[Volatile Stormdrake]]'s hexproof from activated and triggered ability protect it from the creature's ward ability? (By 'protect'. I mean, the ward ability of the creature can't target the [[Volatile Stormdrake]]'s ETB triggered ability).

3. Does the ward ability of a creature target the spell or ability?
