Boyfriend just moved to another state to be closer to family, without me.

So, my boyfriend (m23) just moved the next state over, 8 hours away from me (f19) "temporarily". A couple weeks ago he had went up for a week to visit with his family, and then when he came back he had dropped the bomb that he was probably going to move up there. We've been together 5 months now, but I've technically been staying at his place for the past couple months. So I've been with him basically every day for most of our relationship. By the time he told me, he had already put in his 2 weeks at his job, so it's not like i could change his mind. I couldn't go with him because I'm attending school and don't graduate until June. While he's up there he's planning on living with cousins and then going to get his cna up there, which is something he could've done here, and FASTER. I don't get why he couldn't of waited until I graduated so I could've gone with him. Like we're adults, we should be starting new lives together, not crawling back to family and leaving your partner behind. He's just too spontaneous. He said after he got his cna he'd come right back and we'd get a place together, but he thinks it'd be max 6 months. Although I think it shouldn't be any longer than 3. I know it's early in the relationship, so that's why I'm unsure if I'd even be willing to wait that long. I hate long distance, it's never worked out for me. I just feel like its very immature on his end, and I feel abandoned. AITAH?
