Windows 11 laptop background going black?

i just got a new laptop and the background wont stop going black. this happened with my old pc as well, but i just assumed it was due to its age. i already tried updating the graphics card, which didn’t resolve the issue. it will return to the regular background for a while, but then randomly go black. what else can i do to fix this?
