I know I’ll have post grad school depression. Ways to cope?

Background. I’m American 25F. From a midsized city in the south.

Graduated bachelors at SEC school 2022 Worked in nonprofit in hometown 2022-24 Started masters in Europe 2024

The thing is that I hated working. And now! I’m doing my masters in Italy where I’m constantly traveling and meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I’m also in a big city in Italy so I constantly have things to do. I’ve made so many friends. It’s like semester abroad for two years. School isn’t that hard. I spend most of my days just hanging out.

When I worked, I lived at home. My parents want me to live at home. Constantly pressuring me to move home. I hated living at home with them. I was home for a week in February and the whole time my dad made fun of me and made me feel like a child. Same when they visited me over the summer.

I’m most likely to get a job in my hometown because that’s where I have all my connections.

Also I have high school/college friends in my home state, but they’re all too busy with boyfriends and jobs and such.

I can’t think of a life that would be better than my situation now.
