laurier acceptance question

i just got accepted by laurier for software engineering and im currently retaking english as i had a 70 before and was looking to upgrade it but i just found out they dont take the highest of the two repeated courses they average the two courses and then calculate the average my offer says i need to use a average of 70 i can do that easily as even if i get a 0 while im retaking this eng4u course my avg will be a 78 but they said they want 60 percent in eng4u as well including other prerequisites i was wondering which english will they choose to decide that clause the highest one or the recent one for the “60 percent in eng4u” requirement not the “70 in top 6” requirements
