Wait after pre employment medical

Post-interview

TL;DR: Passed the final checks for a casual hospital support job. Curious to know the typical wait time for the final contract/start date—is a 1-2 week wait standard? Context I recently successfully interviewed for a Casual Support Services/Orderly position at a major public hospital (via a contractor). I have completed all the required pre-employment compliance steps, including: Passed the physical/functional medical assessment. Submitted all mandatory security clearance (Police Checks). All required immunisation evidence submitted. References processed (XREF). I am now waiting for the final word from HR/Recruitment regarding the official contract and induction date. Question For anyone who has worked in hospital support services or for facility management contractors in Australia (e.g., in SA Health, NSW Health, etc.): What is the typical/average waiting time for the final contract to be issued after the HR department confirms they have received the clearance from Medical and Security? Should I assume 5-10 business days is standard for this final onboarding stage?
