Getting Pesos in Zipolite or Huatulco (HUX)

First time going.

Is it reasonable to not bother bringing pesos with me, and rather get pesos at an ATM at Huatulco (HUX) airport, or in Zipolite?

Wondering if it’s a bad idea. I would need pesos for the ride from HUX to Zipolite I’m guessing. I suppose I don’t want to put myself into an awkward situation. But if I can reliably use an ATM at HUX, then I would be fine.

I can get free ATM withdrawals. The exchange rates are pretty bad in my home city.

Also, are credit cards widely accepted these days?
