Saw a metallic orb on thanksgiving

Time: ~11am Location: Long Island

I was talking to my partner in the car on the highway, I saw a metallic orb floating in the sky. It appeared out of no where. It as a clear day with some round puffy clouds. It was moving fair speed, not too fast or slow but seemed faster than an airplane. A few seconds later it warped into like a flatter shape and then it disappeared into the sky, like it went through a portal in the sky and it got sucked in, and the sky ate it.

Was wondering if anyone else seen anything like this
