Best Post-Secondary Study Tricks, Strategies, Advice?
Heyo friends,
The title really says it all, but I'll explain a little.
I'm in my second year of Biology (third overall) and I'm completely at a loss. I'm already not someone naturally good with science/numbers, but I am passionate about pursuing a career in ecology so... here we are! I feel like I had great study habits my first semester, but I wasn't taking any STEM courses then.
I'm really struggling to study effectively and consistently, and it's kicking my ass more and more every semester. I'd love to hear some advice/tricks/tips that helped any of you study or do well in university!
In case it's relevant:
-
I AM medicated, and I'm very sensitive to stimulants so it is tricky to play around too much with my dosage
-
I do have accommodations set up through the school and get some help that way, but it really only helps for recording lectures and taking tests, not studying
-
I have inattentive ADHD, not so much the hyperactive
Any help y'all can suggest would be excellent! Thanks!
