Gifting memberships

A really dear friend of mine lost his job a few months ago and is struggling with his self confidence really badly right now with his job search. Before all this happened, he got back into fitness and even introduced me to some of the people he met along the way. Now he hasn’t been to the gym in a couple months and he wants to go but he is guilty about spending one single extra cent on himself, when he’s got others depending on him.

I want to gift him one years’ PF membership for Christmas. Just for his local gym. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this?
