Guess I’m going the sub route
Had my appt with quick MD and she suggested subs. She’s giving me a little gaba and clonidine to make it those first 12-24 hours. I plan to try to get off the subs asap, but she’s like “whatever your body needs we will do”.
I haven’t been on the 7oh for that long, and my dose isn’t as high as a lot of people on here, so I feel kinda stupid getting subs. However, I have been an opportunistic opiate user for prob like 10 years now. I have someone close to me that hooks me up with prescription pills and sometimes even injections. I use an assortment of opiates a few times a day prob 2-4 days a week. I’ve never been physically addicted to them. 7oh is the first time I’ve experienced withdrawal symptoms.
This other opiate habit is a big secret that would basically ruin my entire life if it came out. I hate living like this and it’s caused me significant worry and anxiety. Would staying on the subs keep me off the other stuff that I was never physically dependent on? Or is this a stupid idea?
If I end up deciding this is what I need to get off all the drugs for good, how does tapering off subs work and how bad are the withdrawals? Like if I do it legitimately. The doctor seemed to have an answer to all my anxious questions regarding getting off the subs when the time comes. But I went in to this thinking I was just gonna use them to get through 7oh w/d and then be done, until I considered this new scenario.
Any insight?
