Am I the only one who finds annoyance in the new My Chats UI?

It annoys me because it's such a small issue, yet so frustrating in those moments it appears. I don't mind the new appearance, but the fact it will CLOSE the chat you selected if you open another makes me annoyed. The reason why is because I'm the type to chat with multiple bots, then delete the chats i don't like all at one time. I used to be able to open all the chats i didn't like, scroll to the top of the first chat, and start deleting quickly.
