Can’t seem to even land a job as a apprentice
I understand that the market now for any job is hard to come across and that it’s winter so some companies are in lay off season. However I have experience for 1 year installing residential solar, I did all the roof work along with attic work and also worked couple of years with directional drilling doing trenching with electrical.
When it comes to electrical I would be considered green but I still know how to work most construction jobs so I’m not new on everything. I’ve applied to a lot of apprentice jobs in my town and even talked to mangers about getting a job, I even applied to staffing agencies to help out but I have not received any call backs. At this point I wouldn’t mind if I started at the bottom and helped with shop work to get some hours and eventually be out in the field.
Is it really just the job market or do I need to have more experience than 1 year of electrical?
