Suspending Festavia globes in a gazebo
We just got a string of the Festavia globe lights to put in our backyard gazebo and I want to check on how we're planning to hang them.
The gazebo is wood, so I'm planning to put several open screw hooks (you might see them referred to as "cup hooks") in the rafters / roof support of the gazebo and then put the loops for lights over them. I won't be hooking every light up, but there will be enough hooks to avoid having a long length of unsupported lights. Right now, my thinking is going to be one hook at the end of each rafter, one hook on either side of the peak of the rafters, about 1/2 way between the peak and the joist at the end.
The gazebo does have a roof which will help alleviate any movement from the wind and weather, as well.
Should this be plenty of support? And, is there any reason to bring the lights in, in the winter (currently, we're getting highs of 32F and the lows in the teens, not including wind chills)
