Hi! I am looking to buy a used car in Texas. I checked with insurance and carfax and have the title and it says clean and incurable. However it says the clean title was issued on the same day a total loss was stated on the vehicle. I am wanting to buy the car bc I did a pre purchase inspection and the mechanic said it was good to buy but I have concern since this my first car purchase. 2018 Subaru crosstrek for $8,500 with 83k miles. Thoughts? I also found a 2019 forester that looks good but it’s more $$ and miles and since it’s from a personal seller vs dealer I’d have to take out a personal loan vs auto and have higher rate.
