Lettera 32 with Olivetti de Chile S.A. on back plate
hi all! I recently acquired an olivetti lettera 32, s/n 2103225. spanish language keyboard with an ñ and accent keys. It also has a key for the escudo (Eº), chile's currency from 1960-1975. The back plate reads, olivetti de chile S.A. case made in mexico. pictures attached.
i'm struggling to find any evidence online of olivettis manufactured / distributed in chile. any ideas when/where this machine was manufactured? does "olivetti de chile" imply local assembly, or only distribution? thanks in advance for your insight!
