Daughter getting unwanted affection from special needs child...

classroom management & strategies

I am a teacher mom, and I just need some input about this student in my daughter's class.

There is a boy with ASD. He had a full time EA last year but now he doesn't have support. He is non-verbal and wanders around the class. He has been trying to kiss and hug my daughter. Like he will get up in the middle of class and try to kiss her in the lips. She doesn't want this at all. He also always has his hands down his pants and now that the kids are older, they know this isn't appropriate.

I've gone to both the teacher and principal. I was told he is just being cute. I was told that it's my kids problem if she's so sensitive to a special needs boy trying to show her affection.

It doesn't feel cute to my kid.... I feel like I'm being gaslit here. It's a hard spot as I'm struggling being a teacher and I know classrooms are crazy.
