Why do all the device icons disappear from the minimap when we move away?
Why do all the device icons disappear from the minimap when we move away? This is embarrassing and DICE should urgently update this. The correct way is for all the icons of all the squads in your team to appear on the minimap and the large map, as well as the icons of enemy devices spotted by your team for the brief moment they are encountered.
You'll never know when to try to switch squads to spawn at a well-located beacon, for example, nor will you know that there's an allied sensor on a flag if you're not nearby or if you're on the map before spawning.
Not to mention the most ridiculous case of all: you place a device somewhere, take a few steps, and you'll never find it again unless you know exactly where you put it. Add to that the fact that the reconnaissance sensor is automatically deployed when you press the button, or the binoculars that can strangely be accidentally placed on the ground without you noticing, and voilà... the minimap will never help you find the things that matter, even if they're yours, let alone help you understand what your partners or enemies are doing with the devices... Truly embarrassing.
This kind of thing JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Is it really that difficult to keep a 1kb icon on the screen in a AAA game in 2025?
For every second spent producing a new skin (realistic or not), is a minute wasted that could be used for real improvements like server browsers, better communication systems between squads, etc., etc... simple things that help Battlefield be Battlefield.
