Saves (0.9)

I use Steam OS (steamdeck on desktop mode) and i play VotV through steam as a added non-steam game, i also use Proton Experimental to make it playable, i've completed the tutorial, and i tried making a new save for the story, but whenever i click "Create Save," it just doesn't no matter how many times i click it. It doesn't crash or freeze up, it just doesn't create it, i even back out after clicking "Create Save" but there is no save listed.
