Has anyone experienced extreme swelling and regret 4 weeks after a lip lift?

Hi everyone,

My mom had a subnasal/bullhorn lip lift about 4 weeks ago, and she’s really struggling with how it looks. Her upper lip feels tight, the shape looks unnatural to her, and she’s worried she “ruined” her face. I’ve read that swelling can last for months and the lip continues to drop and soften over time, but seeing her so upset is really stressful.

I’m curious if anyone else has gone through this (either personally or supporting someone else) and can share their experience around the first month of healing. How long did it take before your lip looked more natural? Did the early “regret” fade? Please reassure me that 4 weeks is still not the final result. Right now her cupid's bow looks much more pronounced than it did previously.
