straight people in the George?

I'm a 19yo lesbian and I love going out, but I've noticed a lot of straight people in the George recently, and the other day a man got angry with me and called me slurs for not wanting to get with him. Has anyone else had this kind of experience, or know why straight people are flirting with people in gay bars?
