Solo female traveler - recs for safe places to dance (salsa) or drink at night?

As the subject line suggests, I’m (35f) going to PV soon and will be solo. Any thoughts or recommendations on safe areas or bars where I could go out at night for salsa dancing in the evening or at night? Or areas to avoid? I am not a big partier or drinker but like salsa / salsa lessons. I’m fine just going to dinner and heading back to the hotel but do think it would be fun to know of some safe spots in case I want to stay out a little later. I’ll be at the Hotel Mio. TIA.
