laptop with numpad or w/out?

hello everyone, help me decide if I should pick the laptop (15") with a num pad or a 14" laptop w/out the num pad. I am a computer engineering student, and if possible, I only want a lightweight laptop so my back wont hurt while carrying it to uni haha

would appreciate your advice/recommendations :)
