Need advice on my appeal case
Guys I fucked up. I got an extension on one of my courses and it was approved.
However only approved to 2 days and not for the 5 I requested since the medical certificate dates didn’t match up.
They mentioned this in the comments but since I was studying I only read the email as finalised and approved. But they only approved it to 2 days and commented if I wanted the 5 days I needed to do another extension.
I understand how this is my fault since I didn’t read the comments fully. But the truth is I did have a medical certificate for 5 days but didn’t realise it wasnt included.
It’s such a long shot but fuck. It was a course I was doing well in. I got sick and had other assignments due. I requested for an extension date for 5 days and it was approved for 2 and never realised. So I appealed and my argument is that this extension - if it wasn’t to what I had requested - how did it get approved instead of being rejected. We only get 3 extensions maximum and if I were to have picked up on it - I would have been using another extension in fixing the shortfall of the previous.
I called my faculty and they mentioned it is unlikely since they only appeal extreme cases.
I just wanted to vent or at least get some advice on how I can proceed. Do I have any valid argument here on system miscommunication???I’m so desperate and need any advice.
