First compounded Tirzepatide dose tomorrow. Can we talk about the anxiety?

Ugh, I'm doing it. My first dose of compounded Tirzepatide is tomorrow morning, and I am ridiculously nervous. Like, I’ve had the vial in my fridge since yesterday, and I keep staring at it.

The whole Mounjaro/insurance fight broke me tho. After hitting that $1k+ price wall for the brand name, I just went searching for affordable options. That’s how I ended up going the compound route. The cost difference is the only thing that made it possible for me (around $400 vs. $1100).

I spent so much time reading up on the difference, especially the part about safety and finding reliable pharmacies. I found this blog Minimal that had a really detailed post on cost influencers and why the compounded stuff is cheaper, it helped me calm down about the price, but the non-FDA approved part still haunts me a little.

Did anyone else feel this much intense anxiety right before their first compounded injection? I feel like I need a pep talk from someone who's been there. Tell me it just feels normal after the first shot.
