Looking for insight on 2 topics from bazzite users

I'm building a PC for bazzite with little experience on Linux other than getting emudeck running on Steamdeck. Many years on Windows have put me in a certain mindset, so I apologize if these are stupid questions. I have tried searching these questions, but have only come up with answers pertaining to other distros, not specifically bazzite. Thank you in advance for any insite.

  1. I will be using 2 nvme drives in the build. One is a secondary drive I used in a Windows laptop, just for extra storage. The second is a drive I replaced in a mini pc that has a Windows partition on it. I'll be using the first as the main bazzite install and it should wipe everything on install which is fine. I'm worried about the second drive as far as the Windows partition. What is the best way to prepare these drives for the bazzite install?

  2. I rip my physical CD's that I purchase to wav files on Windows with an external dvd/cd drive. Are drivers for these kinds of cd drives complicated to install on bazzite? And if I decide I would rather just keep using my windows laptop to rip CD's, will bazzite change any firmware on the CD drive, making it so I can't switch the drive back?

  3. I also like to use the same drive to rip DVD's using MKVmaker. Other distros are hit or miss as far as MKVmakers functionality. Does anyone have experience on bazzite concerning MVKmaker?
