Is it possible to start over in AP/AR as an accounting dropout?

I dropped out from accounting 2.5 years ago after struggling in a highly competitive college in my city. I had about a year and a half left to complete my degree. At that time I also lacked the motivation needed to succeed and finish my degree. I couldn’t even obtain an internship. Now, with no more scholarships and just working basic minimum wage, I want to go back and finish.

I’m wondering with the little experience I have (and no degree), if it’s possible to get a job in AP-AR? My hope is to do this and use the slight bump in to pay to afford go back to college and finish my degree. I’ve forgotten some of the stuff I learn but I still remember a decent bit amount of excel/major concepts and have all my textbooks haha.
