AITAH for telling my dad that my husband doesn't want socks for Christmas?

When my family started putting together our shared Christmas list this year, I (28F) put "NO SOCKS" down for my husband (28M). We have been together 10 years, married 5, and every year my family gets him socks. Not practical socks, but like really silly stupid socks. The kind that are more a gag gift than an actual present. One pair? Fine! 12 pairs of dumb Christmas or cat themed socks that are of lower quality? Come on guys...

So, I put no socks. I get not wanting to spend a ton, but there are other less expensive things that could be bought that my husband would actually appreciate and make him feel less like a joke when opening gifts. Like seriously, everyone else gets fully normal gifts and then he just gets "gag socks" and maybe a bottle of liquor.

Anyway... Today my dad texts me the following.

Dad: (Husband) might not want to be the sock guy anymore, but we all know he is still the sock guy. Me: I would be unhappy if that's all he gets, he was a bit disappointed to only get socks for Christmas last year. Dad: I get him socks because he likes socks. This is why I keep saying we shouldn't give gifts anymore.

I asked my mom to talk to my dad about this bevause this is not an attack on my dad, my husband just genuinely does not want more socks. AITAH for saying no more socks??
