Ok… so… warranty forever. Let’s talk about it
sept. 2024 purchased used impala 2011. 52k miles. $7k Finacned after my trade in of a 2019 kia that I got new and had engine failure at 130k miles.
I got warranty forever. Long story short. I got a letter from peacock Nissan or whatever. Nissan in spring Tx. They offered to pay off my small loan and refinance me to a new car.
Typical sales letter. Usually bs. I wanted to see what they had to offer.
The offer was real. Now… they came back and told me that “usually our letters from our loan partners are pretty accurate, but your car has a salvage title. We can take it”
This happens October 2025. So far I had no issues other than rack n pinion (not covered by warranty, they said I can fix it anywhere) cool done deal.
Anyway, I decided to search “does warranty forever cover salvaged vehicles”
It says no. So how did I get sold a car, with paperwork, contracts and signature. A proven car fax, 2 other proven 3rd party sites confirmation of the car report. Say ls no salvage, wrecks or title issues. Clean. But in the warranty forever contract and their website say they don’t cover salvaged vehicles.
I’ve reported all oil changes(all at dealership) a one rack n pinion repair. I called it in. They said I’m good and don’t need to report. (I have every paperwork, oil change and reports that is not the issue here)
I then started looking through all my paperwork with my wife, and we found a ton of number discrepancies a lot of vin number, displacement or adjustments. We also found out on the car report. There is no report that I have the title of ownership through the Monon. It’s still only says the old owner and then it says my financial bank is the lien holder. Which is fine but the report doesn’t add the second Vin number next to the second owner. It only shows one.
Now, if warranty forever, doesn’t cover salvage titles, the dealership sold me the car with no awareness that it was salvaged showed me a report that it’s clean no issues all to find out a year later from a random letter. I decided to take it to a dealership to attempt to trade it in. And they tell me it’s salvaged.
There has to be some type of legal action right? Because say if I did have a repair that was the power train and I take it in and it’s not covered. Do they even know it’s salvaged. So why are they covering it? Also, why did the bank that they got me approved for approved a salvage title? So does that that mean that this whole situation is invalid because they sold me an illegally salvaged undisclosed car?
