An Ask for Those Sharing Tips and Advice
I’ve been noticing something and wanted to share it in the spirit of keeping this community strong.
Many of you who have been in the UGC space for a while share helpful posts and tips. I appreciate that. Your knowledge matters here, and creators do learn from what you bring.
There’s another area where your insight could make a big difference.
We have many newer creators posting real questions. They’re dealing with low offers, unclear directions from brands, portfolio confusion, or challenges with clients. Some of these posts get little or no response. That’s the opportunity that often gets overlooked.
For example, we get several requests each week from creators asking for portfolio advice. I’ve done many detailed portfolio audits in this subreddit, and they tend to help the creator who posted and everyone who reads along. I also spend a lot of time answering questions, jumping into conversations, and trying to support people who are stuck.
That kind of engagement is what makes a community feel welcoming and useful.
One more thing I want to say gently. When the only thing we see from someone is polished, expert-style posts, they can come across as promotional even if that’s not the intention. Adding your voice to the everyday questions and challenges can balance that out and show creators that you’re truly here to help.
Would you be open to joining more of those conversations? Even a short, thoughtful comment can make someone’s path a little easier.
Your tips matter. Your experience matters. Your presence in the real questions people are asking matters just as much.
