Hot air pump

Help/Advice

Found an old tetra air pump and decided to plug it in and it worked pretty well (aside for being a little louder than usual) but it ended up being warmish on the outside when i checked on it. I decided to open it up and i realized the motor was hot to the touch, not enough to seriously burn you but enough to get you a little worried. I unplugged it for the night but is this something serious that can burn my house down? I had it wrapped up in some old fabric so maybe that caused it to overhead? If anyone else has experienced this please lmk what happened with yours
